I am a mixed media artist working mainly in watercolour and acrylic inks. I paint semi abstract landscapes inspired by the countryside around my home near Sheepscombe in the Gloucestershire Cotswolds or photographs taken on holiday.
I enjoy using my imagination, often departing from reality rather than representing the exact scene before me.
Working primarily wet on wet, I am constantly fascinated by the way watercolours and acrylic inks flow and merge and the effects they create.
I like to introduce texture into my paintings and I am constantly experimenting with new materials to create this. Many of the paintings are inspired from local scenery, especially Blackstable Wood where I regularly walk my dog.

My work is regularly exhibited in galleries in the local area and I am a member of the Stroud Artists Cooperative whose aim is to provide a forum for local artists to support each other; learn from each other; provide opportunities and generally work collaboratively with members and other local bodies to promote art and artists in Stroud.
